The Tour of Spain cycle race will be returning to the Basque region in 2011 for the first time for over 30 years.
When the race last visited the region in 1978Â the event was disrupted as Basque separatists blocked the route with barricades and other obstructions.
The 2011 route will feature two hilly treks through the Basque Country, with a stage finish in the final week looping through Bilbao.
